…‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ ~Matthew 25:37-40 NIV

cookies for Kairos

A Christian faith-based ministry that addresses the spiritual needs of incarcerated men, women, youth, their families and those who work with them, Kairos Prison Ministries help guests find God’s grace and forgiveness in their lives at God’s special time or “Kairos”.

Each April and October, we help bake some of the two thousand dozen cookies that teams bring to Kairos weekend events to demonstrate God’s endless love and grace (please be sure to use only approved recipes found in the Kairos booklet).

Public Action to Deliver Shelter (PADS) of Elgin, Inc. provides safe shelter, support services and advocacy to homeless individuals in Dundee, Elgin and Hanover Townships.  First UMC of West Dundee prepares lunches for the guests after worship on the first Sunday of every month.  Sign up on the Missions Board or visit the kitchen after worship.
